Men Learn to Fly

In the life time of one man the amount of changes that occur within his culture some times can be very little as to go unnoticed, or, they can be so great that men would learn to fly.

My father was born march twelfth 1912. Until his death 26-Nov 2003 he saw his world slowly change, change from a quiet tight knit community of subsistence farmers to a world of automobiles, mechanised farming and daily Trans Atlantic flights.

Now 2008 sees my son living in a world that is changing rapidly due to the speed of technological advances, and I wonder if the cultural memory that has been passed on from my father through me to my son will survive.
