X-Mission January 2009 - 2010
Ursula Biemann is a Swiss artist, theorist and curator who has produced a considerable body of work on migration, mobility, technology and gender. Her experimental video essays connect theory, politics and on-the-ground cultural practices; focussing on the gendered dimension of migrant labour and the geopolitics of mobility and location.
X-Mission is a piece of video research on the extra-territorial status of Palestinian camps and the refugees who inhabit them.
