David Topp - Flute/Electronics   

David Toop is a composer, author, critic and sound curator. He has published four books: Rap Attack, Ocean Of Sound, Exotica, and Haunted Weather. In 2000, he curated Sonic Boom, the UK's biggest exhibition of sound art, for the Hayward Gallery in London. His first album was released on Brian Eno's Obscure label in 1975 and since 1995 he has released eight solo CDs. Musicians with whom he has collaborated include Max Eastley, Evan Parker, Derek Bailey, John Stevens, Scanner, John Zorn and Akio Suzuki. At Lisbon Expo '98 he composed the music for the nightly spectacular, Acqua Matrix, and in 2002, his composition Siren Space was performed on the River Thames. He is currently an AHRB Research Fellow in the Creative and Performing Arts.
