Taking inspiration from works in the Tate Collection and Watercolour exhibition, we’ll consider the question of art and economy. Is art a necessity or a luxury?

Through iconic locations, performance and celebrity culture, come and explore the role of art in public realm across Tate Britain.

I would also look into whether or not luxury is a necessity (what about a world with no luxury?)… And also at how contradictory these terms can sound: art and luxury, considering that the most passionate (true?) artists would produce art even in poverty… Unless we’re talking about art spectators in socio-economical culture/entertainment and not artists themselves? A necessity, definitely, art makes us humans (with pros and cons!). A luxury… ask the accountant?
